David Johnson's Write-Up

A shape-shifting old woman is mugged in an alley and defends herself by transforming into a bear.

A little old lady exits a grocery store, small paper bag in tow. She casually walks home down a city block. As she passes some dodgy alleyways, she hears a noise. Casually dismissing it, the old lady forges onward. Suddenly, a guy jumps out in front of her wielding a knife. Being the tough guy that he is, his buddy is quick to step behind the granny; she’s surrounded. The guy in front motions for her to drop her purse. The Granny slowly sets down her purse and grocery bag; she holds on to her cane. As the lead guy leans forward to grab the purse, the old lady smirks. She suddenly grows huge and hairy. Also, there are fangs. Both thugs panic, and quickly try to run. The bear-granny grabs them both by the collar, bends them over her knee, and swats their asses. She casually resumes her human form. Defeated, both thugs carefully help her with her groceries.

  1. My favorite part of this one is "Also, there are fangs." Ha ha! That sounds like a Buffy the Vampire Slayer sort of line. I also really like the defeated thugs helping to carry the groceries. That's a nice resolution.
